The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Fighters Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces growing in power within the urban setting.

Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure are included.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the first table of characters who will separate from the main group to begin their own adventure, distinct from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (played by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Given an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

Hence, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Planners, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading the hidden lair, striking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.

The traitor then cleared his obligations and fled to a secure base in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and trusted friend, desires revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and advises that it is a hostile location.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • But, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could help the team access places they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and The healer betrayed the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This leaves them no alternative but to head to the remote area in search of the traitor.

Future Episodes

According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Explorers and Planners parties.

Audiences can anticipate learning which players will be where in the story’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
